Condition

Drug & Alcohol Dependence

Support for dependence, and the patterns that keep it going.

Cutting back on your own hasn't stuck, or the strain it's putting on your relationships and responsibilities has become harder to ignore. Dependence rarely exists in isolation — it's usually tangled up with stress, trauma, or an attempt to manage difficult emotions. Reaching out is a strong first step, and support works alongside any medical care already involved. At Chaitanya Raj in Vashi & Belapur, Navi Mumbai, we support people working through drug and alcohol dependence, led by Lt. Col. Rajesh Sharma (Retd), with over 25 years of experience in hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural approaches.

Common signs

Increasing reliance on a substance to function or cope
Failed attempts to cut back on your own
Strained relationships or responsibilities affected by use
Withdrawal symptoms when not using

How it works

Counselling looks at both the behaviour itself and what it's been standing in for — stress, trauma, or difficult emotions that are harder to sit with directly. Your first session is a confidential conversation about your history with the substance and what support could look like. Where supervised withdrawal is needed, referral to a medical practitioner is arranged alongside counselling, never instead of it.

Alcohol Dependence Counselling

Whether it's daily reliance or drinking that's become harder to control than it used to be, this track works with the specific triggers and reinforcement patterns behind alcohol use, alongside the underlying stress or emotions it's been managing.

Drug Dependence Counselling

Dependence on prescription or recreational substances is approached without judgement, focused on understanding the pattern and building a realistic path forward, in coordination with medical care where withdrawal management is required.

Family Support for Addiction

Watching someone you love struggle with dependence carries its own weight and confusion. This track supports family members directly — understanding the dynamic, setting sustainable boundaries, and finding support for yourself alongside your concern for them.

Our approach

Behaviour Modification Therapy to interrupt the reinforcement cycle, combined with CBT to address the underlying triggers. Referral to a medical practitioner for supervised withdrawal is arranged where necessary.
